A Lake Pontchartrain Causeway police sergeant was arrested Wednesday (Feb. 1) on charges of stealing narcotics and $6,300 from the Police Department’s evidence room. Sgt. William Jones Jr. was booked with felony theft and malfeasance by members of the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office public corruption unit.
