A small black cat was undoubtedly counting its blessings Thursday (March 26) after being rescued on the Lake Pontchartrain Causeway. The frightened feline was perched atop the bridge railing Wednesday and appeared ready to jump when a Causeway worker threw a net over her and captured her about 4.5 miles from the Metairie shoreline.
