Work Schedule

♦  Twelve hours on two consecutive days, followed with two days off. Rotating days and nights every two weeks, every other Friday, Saturday, and Sunday off
Responsibilities
♦  700 MHZ system which is part of the Regional Communications Plan Region 1
♦  Update VMS (Variable Message Signs) on the Causeway Bridge
♦  Initiate HIL (Hazard Incident Lights) on the Causeway Bridge
♦  Acknowledge activated Call Boxes on the Causeway Bridge
♦  CAD (Computer Aided Dispatch) Entries
♦  Post the Causeway Bridge Advisory on “www.thecauseway.us”
♦  Alpha Page GNOEC and Causeway Police Personnel
♦  Security Checks On GNOEC Properties
♦  Perform CCH Checks LLETS and Local Computers
♦  Call Taking – Assist the GNOEC Police Department
♦  FAX – Receive and Send Facsimile In A Timely Fashion

Qualifications

♦  High School Diploma or GED
♦  Light Typing Skills
♦  Computer Literate
♦  Capable of Performing Multiple Tasks At Once
♦  Police Communications Experience Helpful, But Not Necessary
♦  Pre-Employment Background Check
♦  Pre-Employment Physical Examination
♦  Valid Louisiana Drivers License
♦  Capable Of Lifting Up to 30 Pounds
