It’s hard to imagine, but from time-to-time, heartless people drop off unwanted pets on The Causeway Bridge.  Upon receiving reports, officers or maintenance personnel rush to the scene to rescue these helpless animals with varying degrees of success.  Some puppies or kittens require medical care.  There is no official method of funding these veteranarian visits, employees often pay out of their own pockets or get help from other Causeway personnel.  A kind hearted vet. has offered to treat these wonderful little friends at a discount. Once the helpless victims are rescued, an investigation is performed and every attempt is made to insure each violator is located and brought to justice.
