The closure of the Causeway’s southbound span Thursday morning (Feb. 23) came after a short but wild stretch in which there was a breakdown followed by three separate crashes involving a total of 10 vehicles, authorities said. One of the crashes was a hit-and-run, and the driver is being sought.
